Hi there! I'm Elmo, and I'm thrilled to meet you!
When I set out to open Elmo Baking Co. I wanted to serve my community the best way I knew how - by offering delightful pastries and desserts.  It’s really all about making people happy through food.
We Believe
Food has the power to bring people together and make great memories. It’s this simple thought that drives Elmo Baking Co.’s mission: to make people happy through pastries and desserts. Whether you’re celebrating a milestone, looking for a gift to say, “I’m thinking of you,” or simply wanting a highlight to your day, we want to serve you the kind of pastries and desserts that make every moment remarkable.
Our Pastries & Desserts
At Elmo Baking Co., the familiar meets “a little different.” Our pastries, cakes, desserts, and confections break free from the ordinary humdrum with their bold flavours and unique spin on the traditional. The way we figure it, no one should have to waste life on unmemorable experiences. So if you’re going to have a pastry or a dessert, make it a remarkable one!
Our Bakery
As proud residents of Port Moody, we are excited to have a bakery in this small yet vibrant city. You can find our bakery at 3133 Murray Street. Our little shop sits just down the road from Rocky Point Park and along Brewery Row, so come prepared to enjoy more treats than one! Though we do not offer seating, you’ll find a great place to chill in the park and an amazing view of the inlet. We also have ample free garage parking in our  building (entrance is via Electronic Avenue).

Our Journey
My wife and I love living in Port Moody with its picturesque parks, cool craft  breweries, and lively community. But we missed the food scene of Vancouver – especially the pastry shops (we’re a bit of a sweet tooth!)  And so I made the move to put my experience as a baker and pastry chef to use and draw from nearly two decades of experience working at places like Thomas Haas Chocolates & Patisserie, the Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver, Blue Water Cafe and Vancouver Community College.

We started out small. Working out of a friend’s restaurant in Richmond, we sold through pop-ups once a week on Saturdays and supplied cafes. After years of looking for a physical location, we opened our bakery in the winter of 2022. It has been quite the journey so far, and we continue to look forward to the years ahead!
